The application forms for admission are available from the office on payment of the prescribed fee. The filled in application should reach the college office within 15 days from the date of publication of the result of the qualifying examination or the date fixed by the University/Government. The selec­tion is made on the following basis

General merit 40%
Muslim merit 20%
Scheduled caste/tribe 20%
Management quota 20%

3% of the seats are reserved for the physically handicapped.
Two seats in each Degree class are reserved for students outstanding in sports and games at the university, the state or the national level.


Weightage of Marks

A weightage of 15 marks will be given to the Ex-servicemen, widows and children of Ex-service­men and children of Javans killed or disabled in action. NCC cadets and NSS volunteers are eligible for a weightage of 15 marks for Degree Course and 5 marks for Post Graduate Course if they produce a certificate from the Director of NCC in the case of NCC cadets and from the Vice Chancellor in the case of NSS volunteers. This benefit is available under any category either NCC or NSS. In addition to this, NCC cadets holding A, B, C certificates are eligible for an additional weightage of 3,5 and 10 marks respectively for the purpose of admission to Degree/Post graduate courses. Students who have worked in the illiteracy eradication programme on voluntary basis for at least one year are eligible for a bonus mark of 15 for Degree and 5 for Post-Graduate courses. 5 % of the index marks shall be added as grace marks for admission to post graduate courses in the case of students who passed their qualifying examination from the Calicut University. A weightage of 10 marks to be added to the index marks of PG admission to the students who have successfully completed the CSS programme of the Calicut University.

A handicap of 10 marks for every successive attempt after the first attempt, out of the ranking total, will be imposed on those who have taken two or more chances for passing any part of the qualifying examination subject to a maximum of 25 marks.
Those who are provisionally selected for admission will be called for interview. Parent or guardian should accompany his/her wards and the following certificates should be produced at the time of interview.

S.S.L.C Book
Transfer and Conduct Certificate from the institution last studied.
Plus two certificate or equivalent Degree/Provisional certificate and mark list of qualifying examination.
Certificate required for fee concession, if they are eligible.
(Income, Community and Nativity certificates)
Two passport size photos.
Interview card.

Students are advised to keep sufficient number of attested copies of their certificates with them in advance since their original certificates will be sent to the University for scrutiny and verification. The S.S.L.C book will be kept in the College office until the completion of their course, and all other documents will be returned to them after verification.
