Certificate Course in Vermiculture and Vermicomposting
Department of Zoology, PSMO College, Tirurangadi conducted certificate courses on Vermiculture and Vermicomposting in association with Krishibhavan, Tirurangadi. Vermicomposting is an effective method for the management of household waste to useful products. More than 80 students enrolled on the course and benefited from the program. Ms. Aaruni, Agriculture officer, Krishibhavan, Tirurangadi provided technical support to the program and Mr. Rasak who is a well-renowned farmer provided practical training to the students. Dr. Mujeeb Rahman P, who was the coordinator of the course and Dr. K Azeez, Principal, PSMO College, coordinated the overall activities of the program on the campus. The department established a vermicompost unit on the campus and will provide technical support to the students in future and help students to establish vermicompost units in their homes.
