Prizes and awards for academic excellence

  1. Pocker Sahib Memorial Prize for the first year degree student who secured highest marks in the qualifying examination. This cash award is instituted by the teaching staff of the college.
  2. Seethi Sahib Memorial Prize – For the first year degree student who ranks first in the qualifying examination from Tirurangadi orphanage. This cash award is instituted by the Non-teaching staff of the college
  3. C.H. Ebrahim Haji Memorial Prize – For the highest mark holder in the first year PG class in their qualifying exam. This cash award is instituted by C.H. Mohammed & Sons, Tirurangadi.
  4. Prof. K.Ahamed Kutty Memorial Prize- This is a cash award instituted by the Department of Mathematics, to the student who scores the highest mark/grade from this college, in the University Examination of M.Sc (Mathematics).
  5. Prof. N.V. Zulaikha Memorial Prize – This is a cash award instituted by the Department of Mathematics, to the student who scores the highest mark/grade from this college, in the University Examination of B.Sc (Mathematics).
  6. Best sportsman cash award – For the best sports person in the college. The cash award is instituted by the teaching staff of the college.
  7. Prof. V. Mohamed Kutty Memorial prize – This cash prize is instituted by Mr. E.K. Kunhalikutty (former Lecturer and a prominent Alumni, Dept. of Chemistry, PSMO. College) for the top scorer in M.Sc Chemistry.
  8. Prof. N. Damodaran Memorial prize for the top scorer in B.A English instituted by Dr. K.P. Balakrishnan (Cardiologist, PVS Memorial Hospital, Alumni of PSMO).
  9. Prof. A.K. Mohammed Memorial cash prize – instituted by the Dept. of Physics for the top scorer in the Final B.Sc Physics (Main) University Exam each year.
  10. Prof. Ummu Zubaida Memorial Prize- instituted by the Dept. of Physics for the top scorer in the Final M.Sc Physics University Exam each year.
  11. Prof. K. Abdul Rasheed Memorial Prize- This is a cash award instituted by the Department of History, to the student who scores the highest mark from this college, in the University Examination of B.A History.
  12. Proficiency Prize- instituted by PTA to top scorers of each class.
  13. Afsal Pullat Memorial Scholarship- instituted by Alumni 2013-16 Degree batch in memory of Late Afsal Pullat.
