Dr Rashid T. P. completed his PhD from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) in 2018 and M.Sc. from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh in 2009. His research area includes Experimental Condensed Matter Physics especially the ‘Magnetocaloric Materials for magnetic refrigeration applications’ and also the Electronics (Development of novel switching technologies of energy saving application). He has many publications in international journals to his credit. He has presented his research findings at several national and international conferences too. He was awarded the Slovak National Fellowship of Slovak Govt. for outstanding researchers in 2014 and worked in Presov University, Slovakia as a visiting researcher. Recently he has invented ‘Infrared rays controlled automatic ON/OFF novel switching technology’ and filed a patent on this invention. Based on this invention, a company named ‘PSMOC Save ‘E’ Electronics LLP’ has been launched in the college for the manufacturing of the new electronic devices for the energy-saving applications. He is the founder and one of the designated partners of ‘PSMOC Save ‘E’ Electronics LLP’. The students of the college are employed in the company (part-time jobs) in manufacturing these products. He has supervised five postgraduate and eight undergraduate projects in the department.
