Keralappiravi Day Celebration
Keralappiravi Day Celebration was conducted on 5.11.2018. Dr. MC Abdul Naser delivered the Keynote Address. Dr. S Sanjay ( Assistant Professor, Department of Malayalam, Govt. College Malappuram delivered the keynote address. Prof. N Abdurahiman made the inaugural speech.

Invited Talk by International Speaker
Departments of Malayalam, English and History jointly conducted a talk on the topic From Postcolonial Studies to Decolonial Studies on 14.07.2017. Mr K. Ashraf, a research fellow at Johnas University, South Africa delivered the lecture.

Readers’ Club Inaguration
The Department of Malayalam conducted jointly with the Library and Resource Centre Readers’ Club Inaguration on 22.11.2021. Dr. K Azeez inaugurated the function. Dr. MB Manoj ( Assistant Professor, Department of Malayalam and Kerala Studies, University of Calicut) inaugurated the Club and delivered the keynote address.

Onam 2021
The department conducted the Onam Celebration programme on 25.08.2021. Dr K Azeez inaugurated the function. Dr. Baburajan K ( Associat Professor, Thunjathezhuthachan Malayalam University, Tirur) was the Chief Guest.

Reading Day celebration
Department observed Reading Day celebration on 20.06.2017. Principal Dr. K Azeez inaugurated the function. Dr.V. Hikmathulla delivered the keynote address.

Ganalogam of MS Baburajan
The Department organised a commemoration programme of great musician M.S.Baburaj on 05.10.2017. Noted singer Mr Shanavaz Malappuram presented a fusion of narration and speech.

Mappilappatum Parachilum
Department  Conducted a Speech on Mappilappatum Parachilum on 25.06.2019. Mr Faisal Elettil noted Mappilappattu Researcher made the keynote address.

Bible Swadeenam Malayalathil
Department conducted a speech on Bible Swadeenam Malayalathil on 19. 12.2019. Nisha Jhon, Research Scholar, Department of Kerala Studies and Malayalam, Calicut made the keynote address.

Reading Week Celebration
Department conducted a Reading Week Celebration on 21.06.2021. Dr K Azeez inaugurated the function. Dr MB Manoj ( Assistant Professor, Department of Malayalam and Kerala Studies, University of Calicut) delivered the keynote address on the topic of the Environmental Thoughts on Reading.

Viswa vikyathanaya Vaikkam Muhammed Basheer
On 04.07.2017 the Department conducted a commemoration programme on Vaikkam Muhammed Basheer. Noted author Mr Kodambiye Rahman delivered the keynote address on the title VISHWA VIKHYATHANAY BASHEER. Aslam Villan presented a mono act based on PREMALEKHANAM. Different programs were held such as film screening, book review and story reading.

Workshop on Malayalam Poetry
A workshop on poetry was conducted on 18.02.2019. The programme was titled Kavithayum Kalavum. Noted Malayalam Poet S Joseph led the workshop. The principal Dr. K Azeez inaugurated the function.

Vaikom Muhammed Basheer Comemmoration
The department conducted Vaikom Muhammed Basheer Commemoration on 05.07.2021. Dr K Azeez inaugurated the function. Dr Umer Tharammel ( Rtd. Professor, Department of Malayalam and Kerala Studies, University of Calicut) delivered the keynote address on the topic Basheer of the Future.
