More than 50 % of the total student population belongs to minorities and other Backward Classes. A cell entitled OBC / Minority Welfare Cell is functioning in the college with the objective of empowerment of students belonging to OBC with the faithful implementation of the planes, programmes and policies of the Central and State Governments. The cell organises coaching programmes for students belonging to Other Backward Classes for various competitive examinations for entry in service. The cell also gives guidance to students regarding scholarships and other freeships applicable to them.
