NAAC Peer Team Visits PSMO College

PSMO College undergoes its third cycle of the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) assessment and accreditation process on 23 and 24 August 2022. The three-member peer team would assess the academic and non-academic performance of the college in their two-day inspection. At present, the institution is accredited with an A grade. The consistent performance of the college in the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) and ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements) during the last five years accelerates college’s aspiration to be graded as a centre of excellence.

PSMO College, established in 1968, was upgraded to a first-grade college in 1972 and a Post Graduate College in 1980. At present, catering to the higher educational needs of around 2000 students, the college offers 10-UG and 08 PG programmes along with 05 centres of research.

During its visit, besides interacting with the management committee members, parents, alumni and the students, the NAAC peer team would assess and evaluate the college under the following seven criteria:

  1. Curricular Aspects.

  2. Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation.

  3. Research, Innovation, and Extensions.

  4. Infrastructure and Learning Resources.

  5. Student Support and Progression.

  6. Governance, Leadership, and Management.

  7. Institutional Values & Best Practices.
