Saiful BatharMampuram Sayyed Alavi Thangal circulated a pamphlet called ‘Assayful Bathar’ (strong sword) in which Thangal wanted the Muslims not to obey the wrong rules and orders of the British as well as the landlords and fight back against those who tries to evict the tenants from the cultivable land. As a reaction the British soldiers declared war against Thangal.
