Dr Abdul Kareem Thottoli is an expert in nanomaterials with a comprehensive understanding of plasma electrolysis and plasma technique for textile, thinfilm and nanomaterial processing with 17 peer-reviewed international journal publications of high impact factor. He has also filed a patent on extracting Melanin from Human hair. He has knowledge in C, Python and R programming languages for data analysis and worked in Origin, GNU Plot, Matlab and Wolfram Mathematica softwares. He gained experience in data acquisition using ExpEyes17, Arduino and ATmega microcontrollers.
He obtained his M.Phil. in Plasma Physics, and Ph. D. in Physics from Bharathiar University, Tamil Nadu, India in 2007 & 2014 respectively. He successfully completed 3 research projects. He is life member of Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI), Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), the International Union of Crystallography, a Regular Fellow of Optical Society of India, and Materials Research Society of India. He also attended/presented in many national and international conferences/seminars. He is also the founder, publisher and content editor of Free Nano Science Magazine for School Children in Indian Regional Languages. He also worked as Assistant Professor (on Contract) in the Department of Physics, University of Calicut He also visited foreign countries such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of China United States of America for research presentations.He has developed a technology to convert human hair waste into plant bio-stimulant and this technology transferred to a start-up company MYCROWB Your Eco Friend LLP. (www.mycrowb.com) for producing liquid and powder plant bio-stimulants.
He is also heading the Innovation and Entrepreneurship activities of PSMO College as Director of PSMOC’s Research, Innovation and Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurship (PRIICE)
