World Environment Day Celebration 2026
In association with World Environment Day Celebration 2026, the department of
Botany organised a programme to create awareness among students about the need for plants
for the future. The programme was inaugurated by the respected Principal of P.S.M.O.
College, Dr. Jamshid V. P. A sapling was planted by him in the star garden of the Botany
department. Later, he addressed the students with an environmental day message. The
programme was coordinated by Dr Muhammad Anaz K., Jaseela M.P., and Dr.
Reshmi C. The event was witnessed by Dr Riya P, Dr Nazmin Banu CV, and
Mohammed Shehbas C. Around 40 students participated in the programme. A
photography competition was also announced with the theme “Freeze the moment, save
the Environment”. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by a faculty member of
the department.
